Responsibilities Assist physical therapists by preparing treatment areas and gathering necessary equipment for therapy sessions Support patient transfer methods, including heavy lifting and safe mobility techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety Help patients with exercises, postural adjustments, and manual handling under supervision, promoting effective rehabilitation practices Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment details, and session notes while respecting patient confidentiality Monitor patient responses during therapy, reporting any concerns or adverse reactions promptly to the healthcare team Support intake procedures by collecting relevant medical history and updating patient records with precise medical terminology Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and safety protocols Skills Strong commitment to patient service with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare staff Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or rehabilitation role is highly desirable Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and hospital medicine Proficiency in patient transfer methods, including manual handling techniques suitable for heavy lifting and acute care environments Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, post-acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, and sub-acute care settings enhances your effectiveness in diverse clinical contexts Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality while managing sensitive information CPR certification and understanding of hospital safety protocols are required for this role Experience working in hospital or inpatient settings with a focus on rehabilitation care assistance is preferred This paid position offers an engaging environment where your dedication to patient well-being is valued.
