Current PTA license required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required

Duties Include:

Teach and guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and balance. Apply therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and massage as directed by the physical therapist. Observe and track patient progress during treatment sessions and report any changes in condition or response to the physical therapist. Help patients perform daily activities like walking, sitting, or standing exercises to regain independence after injury or surgery. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises, stretching, and the use of assistive devices (e.g., walkers, crutches).
