Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines administrative excellence with clinical support, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. As the first point of contact, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, collect payments, and assist with clinical documentation, all while maintaining strict adherence to healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards. Your energetic approach will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Duties Greet patients warmly, answer phone calls with professionalism, and schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Record). Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle billing procedures in compliance with HIPAA and health information management policies. Manage patient records accurately, review documentation for completeness, and ensure proper coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding standards for billing and care plans. Assist chiropractors during patient visits by preparing consultation room, documenting clinical notes, and supporting documentation review processes. Maintain clinic supplies, organize files, and perform clerical tasks such as data entry, filing. Educate patients on health insurance policies related to health insurance while ensuring adherence to clinical confidentiality policies. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by providing clear communication about appointment details, treatment procedures, and health information management. Requirements Ability to learn medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance processing including Medicare, and health information management. Ability to handle medical records with accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Excellent computer skills. Exceptional phone etiquette with duties such as scheduling and patient communication. Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic or healthcare administrative experience is advantageous; familiarity with clinical terminology and documentation review is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
