Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy techniques, patient care, and anatomy, with a passion for helping patients improve their mobility and quality of life. This role offers an opportunity to work across diverse settings including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and skilled nursing facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in evaluating patient conditions and developing personalized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote recovery. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment techniques accordingly while maintaining detailed documentation of care provided. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, post-treatment exercises, and injury prevention strategies. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for continued care at home or in other settings. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care settings. Experience Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and various physiotherapy modalities including trigger point therapy is essential. Demonstrated ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and those in acute or inpatient settings. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and coordination with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient transitions. Experience working with patients requiring specialized therapies such as orthopedics or geriatrics enhances effectiveness in this role. Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care are vital for success in this position.
