Rather than simply moving patients through exercises, you will be encouraged to understand the purpose behind each intervention, monitor how patients respond, and communicate your clinical observations to the supervising Physical Therapist. Work Closely With Physical Therapists PTAs are an important part of the clinical team at Cultivate. You will work closely with Physical Therapists to understand each patient's goals, carry out individualized plans of care, communicate changes, and help ensure continuity throughout the patient's recovery. Your observations, communication, and contributions will be valued. Build Relationships With Your Patients You will have 40-minute, one-on-one appointments without double-booking. This gives you the time to coach patients effectively, explain exercises, monitor movement quality, celebrate progress, and build the trust that helps patients stay engaged in their recovery. Grow With an Expanding Clinic This position is being added because Cultivate Wellness & Sports Rehab continues to grow. As the clinic expands, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibility, develop areas of clinical interest, support future team members, and continue advancing professionally. Maintain a Consistent Schedule This role follows a traditional Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. You will have predictable hours without on-call expectations or a schedule built around four extended 10-hour shifts. What You Will Do As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve movement, rebuild strength, recover from injuries, and return to the activities they enjoy.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing individualized treatment according to the Physical Therapist's plan of care Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility work, and functional activities Teaching proper movement patterns and exercise techniques Monitoring patient response and identifying meaningful changes in progress Communicating clinical observations to the supervising Physical Therapist Educating patients about exercises, movement strategies, and their recovery process Encouraging patients and helping them remain engaged in their plan of care Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborating with Physical Therapists and support staff to maintain continuity of care Supporting active adults and outpatient orthopedic patients as they work toward functional goals What We Are Looking For Current or eligible Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Interest in outpatient physical therapy and sports rehabilitation Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to follow a plan of care while responding appropriately to patient needs Commitment to patient education and quality clinical outcomes Reliable, collaborative, and growth-oriented approach Willingness to learn, ask questions, and receive mentorship Outpatient experience is preferred, but new graduates may be considered when they demonstrate strong communication skills, clinical potential, and a genuine desire to develop.
