Duties Assist physical therapists with patient intake, positioning, and transfers using proper patient transfer methods to ensure safety and comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by setting up equipment, supplies, and ensuring cleanliness according to hospital standards. Support patients during therapy sessions through manual handling techniques, ensuring proper body mechanics and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient responses during therapy, documenting progress and communicating observations to the healthcare team. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while managing sensitive medical information with professionalism. Help with rehabilitation care assistance by guiding patients through prescribed exercises under supervision. Support hospital staff with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing supply inventories. Experience Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or rehabilitation role is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices. Experience working in hospital environments, including inpatient or post-acute care settings such as orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care. Familiarity with patient transfer methods, heavy lifting techniques, and manual handling procedures essential for safe patient movement. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare professionals while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
