Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and caregivers—to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure up-to-date medical documentation and compliance with privacy regulations. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, post-treatment care, and injury prevention strategies to support ongoing recovery. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and outpatient or inpatient care protocols. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy interventions. Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments and managing electronic health records (EHR). Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams. Ability to follow detailed care plans and discharge instructions while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities, home health settings, acute care environments or outpatient clinics is highly valued.
