1099 Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - PRN/Flexible Step by

Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, Annandale, and surrounding areas Step by Step Rehab & Wellness is seeking a reliable, independent Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home health physical therapy visits on a 1099 contract basis. This is a flexible opportunity for a PTA interested in building a consistent home health caseload while maintaining control over schedule and availability. The position will initially be PRN, with the opportunity for increased visit volume as our home health agency partnerships expand. Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy treatment visits in patients' homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Carry out established plans of care focused on mobility, strength, balance, gait, functional independence, and fall prevention Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate relevant changes to the supervising PT Provide patient and caregiver education Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, therapists, and home health agency staff Maintain reliable scheduling and visit completion Qualifications Current Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license Graduate of an accredited PTA program Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between patient homes Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work independently in the home health environment Home health and geriatric experience preferred Experience working with medically complex, orthopedic, neurological, and fall-risk patients preferred Schedule

Compensation Competitive per-visit compensation based on experience, territory, and visit volume.

Target compensation:

approximately $55-$70 per completed treatment visit , depending on experience and assignment structure. Mileage and travel expectations should be considered when selecting your preferred coverage territory.
