Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical administrative procedures, and a passion for providing exceptional patient service. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Manage patient scheduling efficiently, including appointment bookings and rescheduling using medical office management software Collect and process insurance information, perform medical billing and coding tasks including
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
codes, and verify health insurance coverage in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain accurate and organized medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure confidentiality of all patient information Handle phone communication professionally, answer inquiries promptly, and coordinate appointment reminders via phone or email Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech Assist in documentation review related to care plans and ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Requirements Proven experience in a medical office environment or clinic setting with strong clerical skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, ChiroTouch or eClinicalWorks is highly preferred Knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and health insurance processes including Medicare is essential Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and scheduling purposes Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA is required Previous experience in dental or chiropractic clinics is advantageous but not mandatory Join us in delivering top-quality care while supporting our patients' wellness journeys!
