Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Per Diem Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Ashburn, VA. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to provide vital rehabilitative services directly in patients' homes. As a PTA in home health, you will implement personalized treatment plans, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and deliver exceptional patient care to promote recovery and independence. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized therapy treatment plans within the home health setting Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately according to clinical documentation standards Utilize manual therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and improve mobility Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures and progress Collaborate with healthcare professionals on discharge planning and care coordination Maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure compliance with medical documentation requirements Requirements Valid certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or equivalent licensure Prior experience in home health, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient, outpatient, or clinic settings preferred Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology Proficiency in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation standards Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics is a plus Join us at PDTX
