Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist Assistant is to provide physical therapy treatments to residents/patients under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to support improved independence, mobility, and quality of life.

Essential Functions:

Assist with planning, delivering, and evaluationg activity programs Prepare and document individualized Activity Care Plans Participate in quarterly care plan reviews Help set up and clean up activity spaces Transport or assist residents to/from activity locations Provide direct support during events and daily programs Offer input for improving and expanding program offerings Other duties as assigned Successful completion of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program, and passion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for PTAs Proof of licensure as PTA Experience in working with the geriatric population preferred General medical knowledge preferred Physical Activities An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Walking, standing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds Push/pull residents in wheelchairs Bend, stoop, and reach regularly Travel within the facility to engage with residents
