Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in a home health setting . The PTA delivers patient-centered care in alignment with physician orders and payer requirements, including Medicaid, Managed Care, TRICARE, and commercial insurance plans , ensuring strong clinical outcomes, compliance, and patient satisfaction .

Fairfax County, Prince William County, Loudoun County, Virginia . Key Responsibilities Deliver physical therapy interventions based on PT-established care plans, including exercise therapy, gait training, mobility training, and pain management . Treat patients in home settings , Provide home health therapy services focusing on geriatric and pediatric populations , as well as post-acute care, orthopedic rehabilitation, and chronic conditions . Complete accurate EMR documentation in compliance with Medicaid, TRICARE, and commercial insurance billing standards . Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising PT for care plan modifications . Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety training, and mobility support . Maintain required productivity standards (visits/day or week) based on assignment model. Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines, state regulations, and payer-specific requirements. Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary care coordination . Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Virginia State License (Required) Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program Minimum 2+ years of experience in pediatric and/or geriatric populations (home health experience preferred) Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (Required) Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation
Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
