401(k) Flexible schedule Overview Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients in in their homes across Northern Virginia. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall physical function. Duties Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with various conditions, including geriatrics, and those requiring acute care. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to enhance recovery. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with facility policies. Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist in patient treatment. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience or knowledge in specific areas such as outpatient services, inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, and geriatrics. Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children and elderly individuals. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing high-quality patient care.
