Physical Therapist Assistant Centennial Sports and Physical Therapy - 5.0 Spokane Valley, WA Job Details Part-time $30 - $35 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Continuing education credits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Anatomy knowledge Outpatient Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Orthopedics Medical terminology Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist in patient recovery, and promote mobility and functional independence. Your expertise will help improve quality of life for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a privately-owned outpatient clinic. You will have your own flexible schedule with 45 mins. to an hour scheduled block with each patient. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide hands-on therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy to facilitate recovery. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, mobility strategies, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Conduct re-evaluations under supervision to help determine appropriate treatment interventions based on anatomy knowledge and physiology principles. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines during all patient interactions. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient or outpatient physical therapy settings, with a focus on orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or acute care preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and discharge planning processes. Proven ability to perform trigger point therapy and other manual techniques effectively. Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to diverse patient populations including those with orthopedic or neurological conditions. Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients effectively. Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program is required as well as a Washington State PTA license. Join us in making a difference through compassionate care!
