Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the
Therapy & Wellness Center Department Hours & Shift:
Full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift position, Monday through Friday daytime hours
Role Responsibilities:
The therapist evaluates, records and reports patient problems and progress for effective communication with other members of the rehabilitation team Assists in the development of new services/programs as needed and assesses needs for such Work areas will include primarily outpatient services but could include some work in other clinical areas such as inpatient, skilled nursing, home health and work in the schools. Physical Therapy Assistants work under the direction of the Physical Therapists and Therapy Center Director Work areas may include the hospital (both inpatient and outpatient settings), skilled nursing facilities, area homes, schools or work places and contract facilities
Qualifications:
Candidates must be a graduate of an
APTA/AMA
accredited curriculum program Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the State of Wisconsin Prefer candidates with some previous experiences but new graduates are welcome to apply Candidates should have a well-rounded understanding of the rehabilitation processes and have a full understanding of quality patient care Interest in professional growth as demonstrated by attendance at continuing education programs and participation in professional organizations Ability to direct, implement and report on effectiveness of therapy treatments Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial Prior experience using the EPIC medical record system is preferred but not required
