Job Description
Elevate Therapy Center is looking for a Full Time, Part-time, or PRN PTA to assist with weekly treatments in our Fairmont outpatient clinic where the team is focused on helping patients to "reach their peak!" Responsibilities include coordinating with primary clinical staff regarding patient treatment needs and effectively carrying out evidenced based interventions. Elevate Therapy Center offers the opportunity to work directly with a variety of patient demographics and conditions, including adults and pediatrics, in an outpatient setting with the ultimate goal of restoring independence and function. Responsibilities Implement components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercise, symptom modulation strategies, and self care techniques Identify patient's needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences Recommend options, courses of action or modifications to treatment plan ensuring patient's progress, safety and comfort Apply the latest research related to restoring function, reducing symptoms frequency, and preventing injury Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services Coordinate and communicate with referring providers for promotion of client's well being, health, and wellness Work collaboratively with colleagues and coworkers to ensure positive and enthusiastic environment Adhere to ethical and legal standards with utmost integrity Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge via participation in professional growth opportunities Skills Excellent knowledge of anatomy/physiology best practices and standards Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy, and physical modalities Ability to communicate and instruct effectively verbally and in written form Professional behavior and ability to foster interpersonal relationships Motivation to grow professionally and continuously learn Positive and enthusiastic mindset as part of a team-based atmosphere Must be graduate of APTA accredited physical therapy assistant program with active WV state PT License CPR Certification required
