This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive medical services. You will utilize your expertise in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics to ensure patients receive timely, accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and recording vital signs using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist in diagnosing conditions across multiple specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and medical-surgical units. Administer medications, perform phlebotomy procedures, and provide basic life support (BLS) in emergency situations. Manage patient documentation accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), including medical records, ICD coding, and detailed clinical notes. Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient intake processes, and managing medical records to streamline clinic operations. Collaborate with physicians on treatment plans, patient education, and follow-up care to ensure optimal health outcomes. Participate in inpatient and outpatient care activities within hospital or clinic environments, including assisting during surgeries or procedures when necessary. Qualifications Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from a recognized certifying body. Proven experience in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or internal medicine settings. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and management of electronic health records (EHR). Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy and medication administration competently. Inpatient and outpatient clinical experience in diverse healthcare environments such as clinics or hospitals is highly desirable. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to emergency response are a plus. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and communication. Ability to manage medical records efficiently while adhering to privacy regulations and documentation standards.
