Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pre-Operative Clinic team. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-surgical evaluations to ensure patients are medically optimized and cleared for anesthesia and surgery. The APP collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient surgical care. • Perform comprehensive pre-operative history and physical examinations
• Assess and stratify surgical risk, including cardiac and pulmonary risk evaluation
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, EKGs, imaging, etc.)
• Optimize chronic medical conditions prior to surgery
• Coordinate patient care with primary care providers, specialists, and surgical teams
• Develop and implement evidence-based pre-operative care plans
• Educate patients on surgical preparation, medication management, and post-operative expectations
• Ensure all required documentation, consents, and clearances are completed prior to surgery
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers regarding surgical readiness
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

Certification & Licensure:

• Current Arizona NP or PA license (or ability to obtain)
• Board certification (FNP, AGACNP, or PA-C)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Experience:

Preferred:

1-2 years of experience in internal medicine, hospital medicine, urgent care, or perioperative care

• Experience with pre-operative evaluations and risk stratification preferred
