In this role, you will collaborate closely with the orthopedic surgeon to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Your expertise will support diagnosis, treatment planning, and post-operative management for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative orthopedic treatments and improve patient outcomes through comprehensive clinical practice and research involvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for musculoskeletal health, possess strong clinical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine orthopedic conditions. Assist in surgical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic technique, and providing intraoperative support within the operating room setting. Administer injections such as corticosteroids and botulinum toxin treatments to aid in pain management and muscle spasticity reduction. Manage acute pain cases by developing tailored treatment plans, prescribing medications in accordance with DEA regulations, and monitoring patient responses. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans. Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal pathology relevant to orthopedic practice. Proficiency in EMR/EHR management systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation and data collection. Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques including physical examinations, imaging interpretation, and laboratory testing. Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, injection administration (including botulinum toxin), and aseptic technique maintenance. Strong understanding of CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding and ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding for accurate billing and documentation. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment options, recovery processes, and health coaching strategies. Familiarity with hospital medicine environments such as inpatient wards or outpatient clinics ensures seamless patient transitions across care settings. We are a fun, positive office where our employees are treated like family! PA will work in clinic two days a week and will assist surgeon in surgery the other two to three days. PA will assist Dr taking call 5-10 days per month. Orthopedic Experience preferred but not mandatory.
