Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication administration, preventive care, and health coaching to promote wellness and disease management. Perform procedures such as suturing, injection administration (including botulinum toxin treatments), phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques for infection control. Participate in clinical research studies or clinical trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical records, coding diagnoses with

codes, CPT coding for procedures, and managing data collection for quality assurance. Requirements Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or trauma center environments; Level I or II trauma center experience preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms; telehealth experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to perform complex procedures including suturing, dermal fillers (nice-to-have), spinal taps, dialysis management, and neonatal ventilator support. Experience with infection control protocols and radiation therapy procedures is advantageous. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment, intake procedures, discharge planning, and post-acute care coordination. Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes; familiarity with
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding standards. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations such as urgent care or emergency room settings while maintaining professionalism and compassion. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are preferred.
