You will evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds, collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary staff, and help deliver evidence-based care in a patient-centered clinical setting. Responsibilities Perform patient evaluations, histories, physical exams, and wound assessments Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision and within scope of practice Perform and document wound-care procedures, including debridement when credentialed and authorized Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and referrals Prescribe medications and wound-care supplies consistent with applicable laws and clinic protocols Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, infection prevention, nutrition, and follow-up Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation and coding support Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, case managers, home-health agencies, and specialists Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control standards Qualifications Active California Physician Assistant license NCCPA certification DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one Current BLS certification Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient-education skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient setting Preferred Qualifications Wound-care, vascular, surgical, dermatology, podiatry, internal medicine, geriatrics, or family-medicine experience Experience with chronic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure injuries, and post-surgical wound management Familiarity with EMR systems and outpatient documentation requirements National Wound Care Centers is an equal opportunity employer.
