A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Our hospital is currently seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team of medical professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric care for patients and must be familiar with the medications and treatments used in a neurology setting. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for understanding symptoms and prescribing psychiatric medication, administering medication and monitoring patients. Responsibilities:
Analyze brain waves to determine changes in cognitive function. Study a patient's medical history and symptoms in order to diagnose illness. Give advice and administer medication to patients. Be able to research new techniques and procedures in their field. Supervise and train other medical workers. Establish strong relationships with other healthcare workers.
