Job Title:
Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery & Trauma - Redding, CA Are you an experienced Physician Assistant seeking a rewarding locum opportunity at a leading facility in Redding, CA? Pay & Benefits Pay Rate:
$0.00 per hour (rates discussed upon application) Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team to assist throughout your assignment What You'll Do Conduct patient histories and physical exams in a high-acuity trauma setting Make assessments, diagnoses, and develop treatment plans Order and review diagnostic studies, labs, and therapies Recognize urgent situations requiring immediate physician intervention Counsel patients on health management, medications, and social habits Assist in patient admissions, documentation, and referrals Administer medications and transmit prescriptions as authorized Act as a surgical first or second assist in trauma surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures Perform procedures such as wound management, fracture reductions, and central line insertions Collaborate with trauma colleagues and support staff to ensure optimal patient care
What You Need Required:
CA licensure for Physician Assistants BLS certification Trauma or Critical Care experience Ability to act as a surgical first or second assist (with documentation or completion of approved courses) Surgical assisting certification or experience for robotic-assisted surgery (preferred)
Preferred:
Experience with local anesthesia, suturing, wound debridement, and fracture management Prior robot-assisted surgery experience Strong team collaboration skills About the Assignment Join a busy Level II Trauma Center supported by a dedicated team focused on trauma and urgent care.
