Role:
Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking a Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our general surgery team at Redlands Community Hospital, a 211-bed facility in Redlands, CA. This position provides a unique opportunity for a skilled APP with experience in surgical care to work closely with our surgeons in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. With a flexible 40-hour workweek, this role offers work-life balance and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for general surgery patients in collaboration with the surgical team. Conduct inpatient rounds, manage consults, and provide follow-up care, working closely with hospitalists who admit patients ages 15 and older (no pediatric admissions). Perform endoscopic procedures as needed (if trained and credentialed) and assist in minor procedures under the supervision of a surgeon. Document patient care activities in the electronic health record in compliance with hospital and SAMGI standards. Work at the hospital's clinic located conveniently across the street, providing continuity of care for surgical patients in an outpatient setting. Participate in patient and family education, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and understanding of care plans.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Active California NP or PA license and certification (or eligibility for California licensure).
