Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and specialty care. Your expertise will support diagnosis, treatment, and management of diverse medical conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history intake, and physiological evaluations. Manage acute pain and airway issues using aseptic techniques and advanced clinical skills such as airway management and ventilator support. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Record)Epic to document findings accurately. Administer injections, medications, including botulinum toxin treatments when applicable, and oversee medication administration protocols aligned with CPT coding standards. Assist in surgical procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), spinal taps, and dermabrasion procedures within hospital or outpatient settings. Support critical care activities in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers by managing ventilators, dialysis equipment, and neonatal ventilators while adhering to infection control protocols. Collect data for clinical research or public health initiatives; participate in clinical trials to advance medical knowledge. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of medical records and patient information. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, hospice & palliative medicine services, and home care programs. Engage in telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while utilizing telemedicine platforms effectively. Qualifications Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU settings, or trauma centers; Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding and CPT coding is essential. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Hands-on experience with suturing techniques, injection administration (including dermal fillers if applicable), phlebotomy, and basic life support certification required. Experience managing complex cases involving infectious disease care, acute care scenarios including ventilator management or neonatal intensive care units (PICU). Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations such as radiology interpretation or medical imaging review when necessary. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on triage procedures in urgent care or emergency room environments. Familiarity with hospital protocols for infection control and aseptic technique; experience working within hospital medicine or outpatient clinics is highly valued. Strong data management skills for clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives; experience with data collection tools is advantageous.
