Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Program License to practice Medicine as a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant with a current valid state license. Must be Board Certified and able to provide proof of Board Certification. The Spine and Orthopedic Center is a well-established and busy private orthopedic, spine, neurology, and pain management practice. We have 4 offices throughout Southern California, including in Santa Barbara, Oxnard, Santa Maria, and Bakersfield. The Spine and Orthopedic Center is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care relating to back and neck conditions. Additionally, we also specialize in conservative, non-surgical treatment of orthopedic conditions, including shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot conditions, and in treatment of neurological conditions. We believe that patients benefit from a conservative (non-surgical), multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. Treatment options include pain management, spinal injections, and, if necessary, minimally invasive surgeries such as outpatient microdiscectomy, spinal fusion, and arthroscopic surgery. Responsibilities Evaluating new and follow-up patients in clinic Medication management, including issuing appropriate prescriptions, and administering medications and refills In-office procedures Assisting with pre-op and post-op clinical care Monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions Making appropriate referrals and documenting patient care in a manner that is compliant with the applicable type of insurance (i.e. PPO, Medicare, personal injury, and worker's compensation) On call rotation for patients under the supervision of a physician Travel 2-3 times per week to satellite offices in Santa Maria, Oxnard, and occasionally,Bakersfield Job Type:
