A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Elite Corporate Medical Services is seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at one of our clinics in Visalia. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 6:30 pm (The clinic is closed one hour for lunch). Elite Providers are responsible to:
Use medical training, skills and clinical judgment to provide timely, responsive care to treat a multi-cultural patient population. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions. Work independently, contacting offsite supervising physician as needed regarding patient care. Responsible for personalized treatment of patients, ensuring care is relevant for short and long term outcomes. Responsible for seeing all scheduled and walk-in patients each day (approximately 12 to 18 patients daily). Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs and in accordance with practice guidelines. Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and self-care techniques. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records using eClinicalWorks. Must have an active California Physician Assistant License. Must have or be able to obtain DEA registration within 120 days of hire. Must have or be able to obtain BLS Certification within 10 days of hire. Must be or become proficient in utilizing medical equipment and technology relevant to the role (e.g., DME, EMR (eClinicalWorks), etc.).
