Job Description Opportunity Information:
Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Pain Management team in Yuba City, California. Join an established practice dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. The APC will work collaboratively with a board-certified Pain Management physician to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care in an outpatient setting. Opportunity Highlights Full-time position Collaborative physician-APC care model Established Pain Management practice with strong referral base Outpatient clinic setting Focus on evaluation, treatment planning, follow-up care, and patient education Opportunity to perform clinic-based procedures consistent with training and experience Supportive multidisciplinary environment Growing patient demand with the ability to make an immediate impact on access to care Responsibilities The APC will provide care for patients with a variety of pain-related conditions, including: Chronic neck and back pain Musculoskeletal pain syndromes Neuropathic pain conditions Spine-related disorders Complex chronic pain management Duties include: New and return patient evaluations Ongoing management of chronic pain patients Pre- and post-procedure visits Medication management and monitoring Patient education and care coordination Development of treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician Participation in quality and access improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Active (or ability to obtain) CA NP or PA license Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) GI experience preferred, but motivated candidates with strong internal medicine or specialty backgrounds will be considered Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
