- The Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing trauma admissions, emergency general surgery cases, and facilitating inpatient care. Conducting thorough evaluations, formulating care plans, and interpreting diagnostic tests. Assisting trauma surgeons with various procedures, including resuscitation and operative support. Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team to optimize patient outcomes. Ensuring meticulous documentation and clinical workflows in Epic EMR. Practicing autonomously while effectively prioritizing and managing multiple complex tasks. Contributing to the ongoing quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service. Actively engaging in professional development and potential leadership opportunities.
- Shift Description:
- 12-hour overnight shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in PA Studies
- REQUIRED
- NCCPA Certification
- REQUIRED
- (no exceptions) Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days and active)
- REQUIRED
- (no exemptions; required at the time of presentation) Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado
- REQUIRED
- Eligibility for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status
- REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and license history
- HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Absence of sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
- REQUIRED
- BLS certification (note this in the "Additional Submission Details" field)
- REQUIRED

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in trauma surgery preferred OR completion of a surgical fellowship
