Shift Detail:
Mon-Fri Work where every moment matters. Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a motivated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our growing Endocrine Surgery Program . This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced endocrine surgeon and play a key role in the care of patients with thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disorders. The APP will be involved across the full continuum of surgical care, from initial consultation and preoperative evaluation through surgery, postoperative management, and long-term follow-up. This position offers a unique blend of outpatient, inpatient, and surgical first-assist responsibilities within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Assist the endocrine surgeon in the operating room. Conduct new patient consultations and preoperative evaluations. Evaluate and manage patients with thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disorders. Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and treatment planning in collaboration with the surgeon. Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient management. Review laboratory results, imaging, pathology, and diagnostic studies and communicate findings to patients and the care team. Provide education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical procedures, medications, and follow-up care. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development efforts. Strong emphasis on professional growth and clinical excellence. Qualifications Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current Connecticut APRN or PA license (or eligibility for licensure). National board certification required. DEA eligibility or current prescribing privileges. BLS and ACLS certification required. Previous surgical, inpatient, or endocrine experience preferred, but not required. Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
