• 3 10 coverage days per month, variable based on facility needs Daytime coverage: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Night call: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM Rotating weekend call, including at least 1 weekend per month Clinical Responsibilities
• Outpatient clinic evaluations Cardiac surgical coverage Pre-operative and post-operative patient management Critical care management of cardiac surgery patients Daytime rounding, clinical decision-making, continuity of care, and discharges Accepting and managing transfers Cath lab backup Second-call coverage after ICU APPs Management of approximately 7 10 cardiac surgery ICU patients, including 2 4 ECMO/mechanical circulatory support patients Management of approximately 4 10 inpatient surgical patients Nighttime consultative coverage as needed Experience with ECMO, Impella, and IABP required/preferred based on clinical responsibilities Elective surgery referrals are rare Perfusion coverage available in-house 24/7 when ECMO is active PA coverage available 24/7 as first call for surgical, CICU, and floor needs No resident or fellow involvement Requirements•Updated CV with no gaps exceeding 30 days NPDB Report Dated within the last 30 days Board Certified Active Connecticut license preferred at submission; IMLC candidates accepted ACLS required BLS required Epic experience preferred Ability to cover both hospital locations required
