Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Our client in Newark, DE is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role working with a total joints surgeon. Candidates will assist in surgery, see patients in clinic and on the floor. Monday-Friday schedule, some call requirements.

Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient and first assist services Examine patients and their medical records Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.) Diagnose health conditions and illnesses Prescribe medications Maintain accurate records and schedules Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications Educate patients and their family members

Qualifications:

Active Delaware state license or ability to obtain Ability to build rapport with patients Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills

INDP Pay:

$125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
