In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care. Your expertise will help deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatments, ensuring optimal health outcomes for diverse patient populations. Duties Perform detailed patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital sign measurements, to gather comprehensive health information. Assist in diagnostic evaluation by interpreting laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests such as radiology and ultrasound. Prescribe medications and administer injections following HIPAA regulations, DEA guidelines, and clinical protocols. Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and ICD coding requirements for billing purposes. Qualifications Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). Proven experience in Family Practice Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Athena for documentation and data management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medical treatment protocols. Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching, medication administration, discharge planning, and post-acute care strategies. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical practice in hospital or outpatient settings. Experience working within collaborative practice agreements under physician supervision; ability to work independently in primary care settings is advantageous.
