Pierson DeLand Deltona Daytona, FL Northeast Florida Health Services, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) for our Deltona location to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in our community health centers.Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans in an outpatient setting. Provide preventive care services, including screenings, immunizations, and health education. Manage chronic disease (diabetes, hypertension, asthma) with a focus on quality outcomes and continuity of care. Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within primary care. Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary medical practice team to meet the needs of patients, coordinate patient care and referrals, and support the delivery of policy and procedures. Perform within their professional boundaries and scope of practice. Serve as an educational preceptor for the clinical staff including respond to questions/consultations of the staff, plan and teach in-services, follow medical protocols, handouts and clinical standards, assist in expanding the competencies of the clinical staff. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Deliver culturally competent, patient-centered care, particularly for underserved population.Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of Florida Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred, as applicable Maintain active DEA Registration, if applicable Meet all requirements for credentialing and privilegingPreferred:
Experience providing pediatric care in community health setting preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusCompensation & Benefits:
