Our team specializes in interventional pain management, orthopedic spine surgery, and orthopedic extremity surgery. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and patient-focused Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable caring for orthopedic and spine patients throughout the continuum of care, including clinic visits, surgical first assist, perioperative management, patient education, surgical coordination, and other clinical or administrative duties as assigned. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice across multiple orthopedic subspecialties while working closely with fellowship-trained physicians. Responsibilities Evaluate new and established patients with orthopedic spine, orthopedic extremity, and pain-related conditions. Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform focused musculoskeletal and neurologic examinations. Develop assessment and treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory studies, and other diagnostic tests. Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, postoperative care, and recovery expectations. Serve as first assist during orthopedic spine surgical procedures, including patient positioning, surgical exposure, tissue handling, wound closure, and perioperative patient management. Accurately document patient encounters using the electronic medical record (EMR). Coordinate patient care with referring physicians, imaging centers, therapy providers, and other members of the healthcare team. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning to optimize patient outcomes. QualificationsRequired
MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current Florida Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain prior to employment). NCCPA Certification. DEA registration (or ability to obtain). Previous first assist experience in orthopedic spine and/or orthopedic extremity surgery is a plus. Excellent musculoskeletal examination and clinical assessment skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff. Preferred Two or more years of experience in interventional pain management, spine surgery, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, neurosurgery, PM&R. ACLS certification. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience. Schedule Full-time Tuesday through Saturday (schedule may vary). Travel to satellite clinic locations is required.
