Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our New Free-Standing Emergency Department at Baptist Silverleaf. This full-time Night shift (36 hours) leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing emergency team while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Assistant Nurse Manager, Emergency Department, Job Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients as needed to support unit operations Assess and reassess unit workflow and clinical performance to ensure optimal patient outcomes Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments Act as a clinical and operational resource for staff; mentor team members and provide ongoing feedback Monitor and adjust staffing and man-hours in alignment with the unit budget Assist the Nurse Manager with employee relations, including disciplinary actions and annual performance evaluations Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence
