We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our growing team in Forest Park, GA . As the Physician Assistant, you will act as an extension of the physician in the practice to provide a high-level of patient care. This position requires No Call / NO Weekends . In this role you will conduct comprehensive physical examinations, evaluate laboratory results, diagnose procedures to establish a preliminary diagnosis and make recommendations to the attending Physician. You will also ensure that the patient has a complete understanding of the treatment plan being implemented. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. Formulate treatment plans in collaboration with supervising orthopedic physicians. Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies (X-rays, MRI, CT, labs, etc.). Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care, education, and follow-up. Assist surgeons in the operating room, including first assist duties. Perform procedures such as joint injections, wound care, casting, splinting, and suturing. Manage both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic cases. Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record (EMR). Participate in patient education, counseling, and care coordination. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain current knowledge of orthopedic best practices, guidelines, and standards.
Requirements Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program NCCPA certified Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in orthopaedics, urgent care, sports medicine, or related field.
