We are currently pursuing a search for the ideal candidate as our new Physician Assistant. Our growing practice consists of one physician/MOHS Surgeon, three Physician Assistants and a Estheticians/Laser Technician plus support Clinical/Administrative staff. The PA is responsible for the full scope dermatology office patient care, including initial consultations, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. The physician assistant works under the supervision of physicians on site. 3-5 years of Dermatological/Cosmetic experience required. Medical knowledge, including an understanding of pathophysiology, patient presentation, differential diagnosis, patient management, surgical principles, health promotion and disease prevention. Demonstrate core knowledge of established and evolving biomedical and clinical sciences and the application of this knowledge to patient care in this area. Identify the appropriate site of care for presenting conditions, including identifying emergent cases and those requiring biopsy, surgical excision, Mohs, consistent monitoring, referral or admission Identify appropriate interventions for prevention of conditions Knowledge & understanding of cosmetic dermatology procedures and common skin care products. Identify the appropriate methods to detect conditions in an asymptomatic individual Differentiate between the normal and the abnormal in anatomic, physiological, laboratory findings and other diagnostic data Optimize and utilize EMR and other progressive web based platforms. Requirements:
The physician assistant (PA) is a licensed provider who has acquired a broad range of knowledge and skills through the successful completion of a physician assistant program. Require 3-5 years recent experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in a private practice or clinic setting; prefer specialized training in Dermatological/Surgical/Plastics setting Experience with Electronic Health Record systems and Medical Office software required (Modernizing Medicine/EMA etc. currently used) American Heart Association CPR Certification required Must have a strong commitment to patient care and customer service Must have strong communication, conflict resolution, and trouble shooting skills, and a calm professional demeanor Must have good multi-tasking skills, a positive attitude, calm professional demeanor, and ability to work in a fast paced team environment Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and follow verbal instructions and have strong attention to detail Must have strong time management and organizational skills for keeping the flow of the office going smoothly Open to working closely with owners to ensure the practice runs smoothly
