Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including hospital and emergency medicine experience, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and specialty clinics, utilizing advanced skills in medical assessment, procedures, and health management. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through detailed history-taking, physical examinations, and vital signs measurement. Perform diagnostic evaluations using medical terminology and physiology knowledge to determine appropriate treatment plans. Administer injections, manage airway and ventilator support, and execute procedures such as suturing and phlebotomy with aseptic technique. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate data collection, medical records management, and documentation of clinical encounters. Provide acute pain management, triage in emergency or urgent care settings, and participate in hospital medicine including ICU and Level I/II trauma center care. Assist with diagnostic testing such as radiology imaging, cardiac catheterization procedures, spinal taps, and gastric lavage. Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data for clinical trials and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital or outpatient settings to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning. Experience Proven experience as a Physician Assistant within hospital environments such as ICU or trauma centers; Level I or II trauma center experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; telehealth experience is advantageous. Strong background in emergency medicine, critical care, or urgent care settings with familiarity in airway management and ventilator support. Experience administering injections, performing suturing, managing acute pain cases, and conducting physical examinations. Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate billing and documentation purposes. Prior involvement in clinical research or public health initiatives; familiarity with medical imaging or radiation therapy is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide health coaching and education tailored to diverse patient populations across age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
