A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our private spine surgery practice as a dedicated first assist in the operating room . This is an exceptional opportunity for a PA who enjoys surgical care and is looking for a focused role with a predictable schedule and excellent work-life balance. Working directly alongside a fellowship-trained spine surgeon in a physician-owned hospital, the PA will provide dedicated first-assist support throughout scheduled procedures. The position is exclusively OR-based, with no clinic responsibilities and no trauma call . The position averages approximately 32 hours per week and follows the surgeon's operative schedule. When the surgeon is not operating, the PA is not expected to work, allowing for a consistent schedule and meaningful time away from work.
Minimum Qualifications:
Board-certified physician assistant Surgical experience preferred-spine or orthopedic experience a plus Team-oriented with excellent communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced operating room environment Passion for delivering exceptional patient care ACLS from the
