Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment in Illinois, commencing Nov 9, 2026. This role involves a Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week, with potential for a rotating call schedule one week per month. Responsibilities include OR first assisting, vein harvesting, ICU, OR, and Step Down unit coverage, along with inpatient rounding duties. Responsibilities and Duties Perform OR first assist duties Conduct vein harvesting, including endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH) Manage CT/CVT cardiac surgical PA responsibilities Provide coverage for ICU, OR, and Step Down units Execute daily rounding and other inpatient duties Participate in a rotating call schedule, potentially one week per month Opportunity to perform Radial Artery Harvest, though not required
