A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Growing rheumatology team in the northern Chicago area is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their practice! This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with two outstanding fellowship-trained rheumatologists and receive hands-on training, all while enjoying a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no call and no weekends. Ideal candidates will have ties to the northern Chicago area and have experience working in rheumatology, primary care, internal medicine, orthopedics, or other relevant specialties. Responsibilities Full-time permanent position - Rheumatology Monday-Friday schedule No weekends, no call, no nights 100% outpatient clinic setting Work alongside two fellowship-trained rheumatologists and an excellent clinic support staff See predominantly follow-up patients in clinic setting Develop treatment plans, perform minor procedures and injections, manage medications Conditions include:
Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Autoimmune Diseases, Lupus, Osteoporosis, Paget's Disease, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gout, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Connective Tissue Disease, Muscle Inflammation, Fibromyalgia, Vasculitis, Sjogren's Syndrome, Scleroderma Qualifications:
Illinois Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License DEA License Previous experience working in rheumatology, primary care, internal medicine, orthopedics, or other relevant fields
