The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves performing various medical tasks, including patient assessments, physical examinations, and assisting in treatment plans. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring a smooth healthcare experience. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories. Perform physical examinations to evaluate patients' health status. Administer IV infusions and assist with medication management. Provide addiction counseling and support for patients in recovery. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-hospitalization. Phlebotomize patients for laboratory testing as needed. Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement treatment plans. Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Utilize knowledge of physiology to inform clinical decisions and patient education. Experience Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments is advantageous. Experience in ventilating patients or providing respiratory support is a plus. Strong understanding of physiology and its application in patient care. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
