A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description
MEDS operates a renowned network of emergency physician, hospitalist and APP peers across both rural and urban communities in the Midwest. MEDS is an independent, physician-owned, private group and is pleased to announce the availability of a Hospitalist Physician Assistant opportunity in Maryville, IL, only 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners with demonstrated inpatient experience to join our stable, privately owned group. Anderson Hospital has been serving the communities of Madison County since 1977. - 154-Bed Acute Care Facility
- Block Scheduling
- 2 Physician rounders scheduled 7a-7a;
- 1 Provider in-house at night 7p-7a
- 3 NPs Scheduled daily 6:45a
- 4:45p (10 hours)
- 1 NP Mid-shift from 12p-12a
- Mid-shift NP will do admissions and ICU procedures (intubation & central lines)
- Training will be offered to the right candidates
