Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician Assistant for an 84-day assignment in Illinois, starting Nov 17, 2026. The schedule involves night shifts, 7 on 7 off, working collaboratively with a physician hospitalist. Responsibilities include managing an average of 10 to 12 acute patients daily, performing hospital rounding, and handling medical clearance and medication reconciliation within a behavioral health unit. Responsibilities and Duties Work 7 on 7 off night shifts, collaborating with a physician hospitalist. Manage an average of 10 to 12 acute patients per day. Perform hospital rounding, with ICU rounding preferred but not required. Conduct medical clearance and medication reconciliation for patients in the behavioral health unit.
Additional Information Work site state:
Illinois EMR system: Epic Anticipate managing an average of 10 to 12 acute patients per day. The facility census is volatile, ranging from 15 to 30 patients across the physician and APP team. Shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Primarily an inpatient setting.
