3/12 Hour Shifts Weekends and Holidays No Call Job Description Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Neurology Department.Responsibilities will include:
Daily assessment and management of neurosurgical inpatients Postoperative patient management Coordination of care with neurosurgeons, hospitalists, nursing, therapy, and other consulting services Evaluation of acute clinical changes Management of postoperative complications and urgent patient concerns Medication management and clinical decision-making Discharge planning and coordination Patient and family education Communication with the attending neurosurgeon regarding changes in patient condition Facilitating timely transitions of care Supporting consultative and procedural Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high-quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.Qualifications:

Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required (or pending)Education :
Completion of master's level program in specialty areaCertification :
BLS/CPR certification requiredExperience:
