Our client in Indiana is seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 90-day assignment starting Aug 1, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient care, assisting the surgical team, and covering a schedule that includes Monday to Friday onsite from 7am-7pm, along with 24-hour weekend coverage with approximate 4-hour onsite rounding. Responsibilities and Duties Deliver comprehensive patient care within the scope of practice for a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant. Assist physicians with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient management. Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and order diagnostic tests. Participate in daily rounds and contribute to continuity of care.

Cerner Schedule involves Monday-Friday onsite coverage from 7am-7pm, with all locums starting at 7am to attend the CV Surgery Daily Meeting. Weekend coverage includes 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday, with approximately 4 hours onsite each day, starting at 6am for rounding.
