- Indianapolis position working in Pulmonary Critical Care with a traditional schedule: 7A - 5P daytime shift Pulmonary Critical Care at Franciscan South Campus, Indy Location 7 days on / 7 days offSUMMARY OF DUTIES
Performance of health assessments, including a thorough history and physical examination, ordering or performing certain diagnostic tests, evaluation of the psychosocial and family aspects of the situation sufficient to make a general health assessment, and diagnose the nature of common acute and chronic conditions. Referral of complex and high-priority cases to the physician on duty regarding complicated diagnostic problems, serious illness, complicated therapeutic problems, re-evaluation of chronic conditions, etc. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment. Provides patient education. Triages calls from nursing staff regarding patient issues. Completes all documentation requirements into the EMR system. Performs other duties as assigned. Current Indiana license to practice the duties of a Physician Assistant Certification in BLS and ACLS Acute Care Experience or Training a Plus Ability to relate well with patients and other health care personnel Ability to work as a team memberEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduated from a certified Physician Assistant or related program, which entails training as well as practice in the above-mentioned duties. Prefer previous experience providing medical care within a hospital or clinical environment. Current Indiana license to practice the duties of a Physician AssistantBenefits
