Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a hard working and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department along side ABEM certified physicians. Your expertise will support diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Physicians and other Advanced Practice Providers as well as nurses and clinical pharmacists. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations and medical history documentation using Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR). Performs and documents physical examinations on all patients, neonate through the geriatric population, urgent and non-urgent in the Emergency Department. Participate in a Physician-lead provider-based health care delivery system which supports continuous improvement in patient care. Adhere to the highest standards of medical practice, ethics, and professionalism at all times. Prescribe medications following HIPAA regulations and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) guidelines, including injections administration and medication management. Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, wound care and fracture care. Provide patient education , discharge planning and post-discharge instructions. Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards by maintaining accurate medical records, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and proper documentation of all patient interactions. Qualifications Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Kansas state medical license. Proven experience in hospital medicine or emergency medicine environments preferred. Demonstrated skills in clinical procedures including suturing. Ability to work effectively within collaborative practice agreements alongside physicians; excellent communication skills essential. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and practicing within DEA regulations for controlled substances. Current BLS, ATLS, PALS and ACLS certification required. Pay:
$120,196.61 - $130,301.29 per year
