Bring Better to the Bedside as an Advanced Practice Hospitalist in Manhattan, KS at Ascension Via Christi Hospital We believe in bringing "better" to our local community in Manhattan, KS — better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. If you're looking for a role that supports your professional growth and your connection to a vibrant community, we'd love to talk. We are hiring for a day rounding hospitalist. Candidates must be comfortable with an open ICU with tele-Intensivist backup.
Local Team Collaboration:
Join our close-knit team of 4 physicians and 4 APPs at Ascension Via Christi Hospital. Round on an ADC of 40 patients per day with two doctors each day under the collaboration of the doctors.
Qualifications:
Board-certified PA. Previous hospitalist experience is preferred. Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
10-hour day shifts, Monday - Friday with two doctors/day with option for part-time.
Key Responsibilities:
See a wide variety of diseases while still having specialists available in a small community-based hospital. Work in coordination with a tele-intensivist, with the specialist handling all procedures, and the hospitalist doctors running codes and rapid. Utilize Magnetech with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication. Manage patients from admission to discharge. The city lies between the Kansas and Big Blue Rivers and is just S of Tuttle Creek State Park, which encompasses Tuttle Creek Reservoir, horse trails, hiking trails, and a shooting range and is a perfect city for outdoor enthusiasts. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups. Our team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement. Compensation:
