Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Local Team Collaboration:
Join our close-knit team of 4 physicians and 4 APPs at Ascension Via Christi Hospital. Round on an ADC of 40 patients per day with two doctors each day under the collaboration of the doctors.
Qualifications:
Board-certified PA. Previous hospitalist experience is preferred. Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
10-hour day shifts, Monday - Friday with two doctors/day with option for part-time.
Key Responsibilities:
See a wide variety of diseases while still having specialists available in a small community-based hospital. Work in coordination with a tele-intensivist, with the specialist handling all procedures, and the hospitalist doctors running codes and rapid. Utilize Magnetech with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication. Manage patients from admission to discharge.
